Annual Mission Emphasis Week
Last month we had our anual missions emphasis week. Here's a look in picture of some of the presentations... the American & Dutch students group doing a traditional American dances
A Camera, A Tree and a Family
It's that time of year again; time to take the family Christmas picture. Rather than heading out into the cold we decided to try an indor photo in front of the Christmas tree. For the family shots we relied on a timer. This is tricky! Most of the family shots are...
My story
Someone recently asked me the story of my heart problems and how I could continue as a missionary despite it. It is a long story involving 4 countries and 9 cardiologist, so I’ll give you the highlights. It starts about 4 years ago when I lived as a missionary in the...
Thanksgiving in Japan
There were never Pilgrims that sailed on the Mayflower nor the Native Americans who helped them adapt to a new land in Japan. Thanksgiving is not a holiday here. That doesn't mean that Americans living in Japan aren't going to eat turkey! We did still manage to...
More Medical Drama
I haven't blogged in awhile, because life has gotten a little bit crazy. It all started with a phone call that I got from a classmate of Chris'. They were in an ambulance with Chris that had just left language school and were on the way to the hospital. Chris had been...
Animals Outside My Door
I just heard a cat fight outside. Chris said, “maybe it's being attached by the tunuki.” This reminded me that Chris and Addie spotted this animal in the garden across the street from our house a couple of months ago. It also made me think that this is one animal I...
A Typical Sunday
We start the day by dragging ourselves out of bed and into the cold air (we don't heat the house overnight and temps are usually in the upper 30's in the house when we wake up). Chris gets up first, turns on the heater in the kitchen and preps for teaching Bible...

Reaching the Never Reached of Japan
We also have a passion to reach kids and their families. Every month TICA does a special family service that has interactive experiments and activities geared toward kids and those hearing the gospel for the first time. We also have a weekly play group for moms and their preschoolers, and we hold regular community and family outreach events that feature our BGMC flying saucer! Learn more here.
Reaching the Never Reached of Japan
THE NEED
Over 99% of the people of Japan DO NOT KNOW JESUS. They are part of the Never Reached.
HOW TO HELP
PRAY CONTINUALLY
The only way to truly reach the people of Japan for Jesus is by preaching the Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit and by prayer and fasting. As a result, we need prayer partners. Will you partner with us by committing to pray for Japan, for workers in Japan, and for us?
GIVE MONTHLY
Your faithful support ensures that we can continue to pursue the ministry God has given us.
- Work & Ministry Expenses
- Housing and insurance
- Food and clothing
JOIN US IN JAPAN
We are looking for people to come and be a part of our team! We are serving in a country that is less than 1% Christian, yet has very few missionaries. There are so many opportunities that we need all the help we can get! Please prayerfully consider coming for a short term or long term missions trip to Tsukuba, Japan.
